The Highways Maui District partnered with HDOT’s Oahu District for the 2025 Protect Our Water Conference on November 21 at the Koʻolau Ballrooms in Kāneʻohe. The morning brought together professionals, community members, and industry experts to share knowledge and strategies for protecting Hawaii’s waterways.

Our team engaged attendees at our exhibitor booth, providing resources, answering questions, and highlighting initiatives in stormwater management. The conference featured sessions on sustainability, shoreline restoration, stormwater permitting, erosion control techniques, and innovative tools like drone applications for SWPPP field practices. Attendees also had the chance to explore hands-on demonstrations, including hydromulch erosion control techniques, and visit a variety of exhibitor booths.
