The Post-Construction Stormwater Management in New Development and Redevelopment Program addresses stormwater runoff from all projects that result in a land disturbance of one acre or more, as well as smaller projects that can potentially discharge pollutants into the MS4. This program requires the installation of appropriate Permanent Best Management Practices, preferably low impact development (LID), that are designed to remain in place and provide for long-term stormwater quality management. By mandating the installation of Permanent Best Management Practices, the potential for pollution discharge from new and redevelopments is minimized, fostering long-term stormwater quality management.
