The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Highways Maui District, is excited to announce the recipients of the 2025 Stormwater Maui Maikaʻi & Mahalo Program! This program is our way of giving a big mahalo (thank you) to local businesses, organizations, and groups who have made an outstanding effort to protect our island’s sensitive ecosystems by reducing pollutant discharge into our stormwater system.
Keeping stormwater clean (by preventing pollutants like trash, sediment, and chemicals from reaching our storm drains) is absolutely vital to safeguarding our ocean and unique bodies of water. These six recipients are leading by example, demonstrating outstanding commitment and innovation.
