The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Highways Maui District collaboratively hosted HDOT’s 2024 Annual Protect Our Water Conference on November 13th at The Salvation Army Kroc Center Hawaii. This event brought together industry professionals to share expertise and strategies for protecting Hawaii’s waterways.

The conference featured various sessions covering topics such as inspections on HDOT highway construction projects, updates to BMP manuals and programs, stormwater mitigation after the Lahaina wildfires, harbors construction practices, USACE permitting tips, and innovative tools like the Autodesk Construction Cloud.

The sessions were recorded and will be available to view on the Stormwater Hawaii Youtube Channel. 

Attendees also explored vendor exhibits from a variety of organizations, including the City and County of Honolulu, Erosion Control Specialist LLC, Exacta Sales Inc, Geotech Solutions Inc, ABT Inc, Evergreen by Debra, Jensen Precast, Contech Engineering, RW Supply, Urban Farmer Store, and other HDOT informational booths.
