On October 23rd, HDOT Highways Maui District partnered with STEMWorks to host a 90-minute Bridge Builder demonstration at Iao Intermediate School using the AASHTO Bridge Builder Module.

Twenty students took part in the hands-on session, learning about engineering and bridge design in a fun and interactive way. They got to plan, design, and test their own bridge ideas while working together and solving problems.

The activity gave students a real taste of STEM and engineering careers, helping them think like engineers and build their skills, one bridge at a time!
