Highways Maui District is proud to recognize Maui Preparatory Academy’s Rotary Interact Club as our Quarter 3 recipient of the No Ka Oi Highway Hui Award. This award celebrates their exceptional contributions to the Adopt-A-Highway program, and we greatly appreciate their service.
Sponsored by the Lahaina Rotary Club, the Maui Prep Interact Club is a group of students committed to making a difference while having fun and connecting with others in the community. For over a decade the club has consistently cleaned a two-mile stretch of Honoapiilani Highway, between mile markers 26 and 28.
In addition to removing trash from along the highway, the Maui Prep Interact Club plans and participates in various other community service projects such as beach cleanups, food and clothing drives, elderly daycare programs, and meal planning and distribution at homeless shelters.
The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Highways Maui District, is excited to honor this incredible group of students for their dedication to both the Adopt-A-Highway program and their broader community service efforts.
