Continuing the Earth Day festivities, the Highways Maui District, in collaboration with the County of Maui, hosted a booth centered on stormwater management at the University of Hawaii Maui College’s (UHMC) Earth Day event. Organized by UHMC’s Student ʻOhana for Sustainability club, the annual Earth Day celebration unfolded on the campus Great Lawn. This free event featured live performances, guest speakers, and outreach booths from local nonprofits and government agencies. Attendees also enjoyed giant yard games and delicious food from the Pastele House food truck. We enjoyed interacting with community members, and discussing stormwater best management practices.
